Payment Schedule
Applicants selected for the five year integrated BBA, LLB (Hons.)
Program of the Icfai Law School (ILS) are required to pay the fee as follows.
Admission Fee
The admission fee of Rs.5,000 is payable on or before June
16, 2008. This fee is payable on or before 5.00 P.M, June 16, 2008 to the Icfai
Law School, Dehradun. The admission fee is not refundable.
Tuition Fee
The tuition fee payable for the integrated law program is
Rs.3 lakhs, payable in 10 instalments spread over the duration of the program
i.e., August 2008 to March 2013. The dates for payment of each instalment will
be provided in the Program Regulations Book. The 1st instalment of tuition fee
of Rs. 30,000 is payable on July 14, 2008.
Fee Concession for Domicile of Uttarakhand
All students of Uttarakhand domicile who get admission into
the law program at ILS, Dehradun are eligible for a fee concession of 25% in
tuition fee. This fee concession varies from instalment to instalment. Details
will be provided in the Program Regulations Book.
Mode of Payment
All payments should be made by way of demand draft in favor
of
"IUCF A/c ILS" payable at Dehradun.
Merit Scholarships
To encourage meritorious students, the Icfai Law School
offers merit scholarships up to 50% in the form of fee concession in the tuition
fees to the applicants who emerge as the rankholders in the Icfai Law School
Admission Test (ILSAT) and who are admitted into the BBA, LLB (Hons.) Program.
The merit scholarships will be awarded in the form of fee concession as
indicated:

to 5 : 50% of the tuition fee

Ranks 6
to 10 : 35% of the tuition fee

Ranks 11
to 25 : 25% of the tuition fee
The fee concession varies from instalment to instalment
depending on the performance of the students in the previous semester. The merit
scholarships will be continued semester after semester subject to the students
maintaining minimum stipulated academic standards, like meeting the required
CGPA (8.0 and above), attendance, etc.
Merit Scholarships are also awarded to other students in
order to encourage them to continuously perform well in their studies at the
Icfai Law School. ILS decides the thresholds of academic performance for the
award of merit scholarships to the continuing students. They will be awarded
merit scholarships in each semester based on their performance in the previous
semester.
The above merit scholarships will be available to a maximum
of 25 students in each semester.
Contribution to Student Activities Fund
Students are required to contribute Rs.16,000 to the Student
Activities Fund. The fund is administered by a committee consisting of student
representatives and faculty under the supervision of the Principal. It is
utilized to finance student activities including special classes for development
of soft skills, placement brochure/placement related activities, participation
in competitions, picnics, cultural events, welcome and valedictory functions,
etc. The payment of Rs.16,000 is to be made in two instalments of Rs.8,000 each,
as indicated in the Program Regulations Book.
Membership Fee of Alumni Federation
Students are required to become members in the Icfai Law
School Alumni Society (ILSAS). The provisional membership in ILSAS entitles the
student to participate in seminars, workshops, conferences and local chapter
activities organized by ILSAS. The membership fee is Rs.10,000 which is to be
paid along with the last instalment of the tuition fee, as indicated in the
Program Regulations Book.
Housing Deposit
Housing facilities are available for students seeking hostel
accommodation. Students are required to pay Rs.10,000 towards housing deposit
along with the first instalment of the tuition fee, in addition to the lodging
and boarding expenses, which will be indicated in the selection letter. This
housing deposit will be refunded without interest (and after adjusting for dues,
if any) to the students on vacation of the premises. Rules governing housing
facility provided by ILS will be intimated separately.
Waiver of Tuition Fee
In the unfortunate event of death of a specified parent who
is funding the education of a student at ILS, the balance of tuition fee payable
by such student will be waived. Further details will be provided later in the
Program Regulations Book.
Refund of Tuition Fee
In the unfortunate event of death of a student during the
course of study at ILS, the tuition fee paid will be refunded by the University
to the specified parent. Further details will be provided in the Program
Regulations Book.
Bank Loans
Banks provide educational loans to the applicants selected
for the BBA, LLB (Hons.) Program of the Icfai Law School. Applicants are
required to approach the branches in their city/town for educational loan. The
loan amount will be disbursed in stages as per the fee schedule. There are no
margin requirements.
The interest rate applicable to education loans is around
9-12% or less. The loan documents should be executed by both the applicant and
the parent / guardian with joint and several liability. Repayment starts 1 year
after completion of studies or 6 months after getting a job (whichever is
earlier).

Jurisdiction for all disputes (if any) relating to Programs offered by the
Icfai Law School and admissions is Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
