Admission Procedure for candidates appearing in ILSAT 2008
Admission to the BBA. LLB (Hons.) Program is through ILSAT
2008 conducted by ILS, Dehradun.
ILSAT 2008
is scheduled on May 04, 2008 (Sunday)
from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM at 34 test centers all over India. Applicants are
required to report at 9.00 AM at the test center on the day of ILSAT 2008.
The Admission Test is based on objective type questions in
multiple choice format. The answers have to be given in the specially designed
OMR answer sheet, which will be provided at the time of admission test. There
will be 150 questions in all, divided into five sections of 30 marks each. These
sections are English Language, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Numerical
Ability and Reasoning as per the sample test indicated on pages 7, 8 and 9.
Admission Procedure for candidates applying based on Common Law Admission
Test (CLAT) 2008
Students may also be admitted to the program based on their
score in CLAT 2008 conducted by the NLSIU, Bengaluru.
Candidates applying for admission on the basis of CLAT 2008
are not required to write ILSAT 2008. However, they may also appear both ILSAT
2008 and CLAT 2008, in order to enhance the chance of getting admission in ILS,
Dehradun.
All candidates seeking admission based on CLAT 2008 have to
indicate their CLAT application number in the ILSAT application form. They also
have to submit the scorecard on or before May 24, 2008. Please note that the
selection of the candidates will be withheld incase of non-receipt of the CLAT
scorecard before the due date.

Past Academic Record
While evaluating applicants for admission into the Integrated
Law Program, due consideration is given to the applicant’s past academic
achievements, apart from the marks/CGPA secured, various academic achievements
and honors obtained by the applicant.

The last date for receiving the completed application form at
the above address is April 21, 2008. Applications received after April 21, 2008
may not be considered.
All applicants are advised to adhere to the last dates
prescribed for the submission of the Application Form so that necessary
arrangements can be made in advance by CPAD® for conducting ILSAT 2008.

Applicants interested in applying for the admission test for
the BBA, LLB (Hons.) Program can avail any one of the following registrations
facilities available through the web:

Fill and submit the application form available on www.iuuttarakhand.edu.in/ils
online, making a payment of Rs. 300/- towards registration fee using credit card (Visa/Master Card/
Citibank Card) through the secure internet payment gateway.

Download the application form, complete it, and send it
to the The Admissions Officer, CPAD®, #45, Nagarjuna Hills, Punjagutta,
Hyderabad - 500082 along with a demand draft for Rs. 300/- towards
registration fee (in favor of
"IUCF A/c ILS" payable at Dehradun).
Last date for receiving the duly filled in application form
is
April 21, 2008.
Online Admit Card (For ILSAT 2008 only)
All applicants who have submitted their filled in application
forms for ILSAT 2008 have to download online admit cards progressively from
April 14, 2008 onwards at www.iuuttarakhand.edu.in/ils using the five
digit application number and date of birth as user name and password
respectively. The online admit card will carry the photo, name, address, roll
number of the applicant and the test date, timings and details of the test
center. No hard copies of admit cards will be sent by post.
The admit card is not transferable to any other person and is
valid only for the test centers for which it is issued. Impersonation is a
punishable offence under law.
ILSAT Results (For ILSAT
2008 only)
Results of ILSAT 2008 will be announced on the website www.iuuttarakhand.edu.in/ils
at 8 PM (IST) on May 17, 2008.
The successful applicants will also be individually intimated
through web/post.
E-Mail
All applicants are mandatorily required to indicate their
e-mail ID, as all important information relating to ILSAT 2008 will be intimated
to the applicants by e-mail.
Similarly all applicants are required to send their
letters/correspondence by e-mail only to: cpadhq@iuuttarakhand.edu.in
Admission Decision
The applicants who have cleared ILSAT 2008 will be sent
selection letters from ILS and will be given Provisional Admission.
All selected applicants are required to pay the admission fee
as specified on Page 5.
The provisional admission will be confirmed on or after
August 01, 2008 after checking the following criteria.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates have to submit their
original certificates for verification on August 01, 2008 at the Icfai Law
School, Dehradun and complete the verification process for the required
eligibility criteria. For any extension of this date, the applicants should
apply separately, giving the schedule of their 10+2 examinations.
The aggregate percentage of marks secured by the applicant at
10+2 will be determined based on the procedure used by the respective board and
the same should be at least 50%.

Payment of Fees: Provisionally admitted students will
have to pay the first instalment of tuition fee by July 14, 2008.
The provisional admission will be deemed to be confirmed for
the provisionally admitted candidates fulfilling both the above criteria.
Letters will be issued to those candidates not fulfilling the above criteria,
cancelling their provisional admission.
Ragging Banned
The students are strictly admonished not to indulge in any
type of ragging either directly or indirectly and any disorderly conduct whether
by words spoken or written or an act which has effect of teasing, or handling
with rudeness any other student, in rowdy or in disciplined activities which
causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to
raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student or asking
the students to do any act or performance something which such student will not
do in the ordinary course and which has effect of causing or generating a sense
of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique of a fresher or
a junior student.
Ragging shall be considered as per the guidelines issued by
the Honorable Supreme Court of India.
Ragging is banned in the institutions and anyone indulging in
ragging shall be punished accordingly and the punishment shall include
cancellation of registration/expulsion from the institution, suspension from the
institution or classes or fine with a public apology.
Strict Ban against Canvassing / Recommendations
All admissions are strictly based on merit only. There is no
NRI quota or management quota or any other quota. Hence the students and their
parents are strictly advised not to resort to any canvassing, directly or
indirectly, to support their applications. Canvassing in any form is strictly
prohibited and will be considered as a serious disqualification.
