encourages independent thinking and helps the students in developing holistic
perspectives, strong domain knowledge, contemporary skill-sets and positive
attitudes.

ILS has evolved a comprehensive student-centric learning
approach consisting of several stages, designed to add significant value to the
learners’ understanding in an integrated manner.
An Integrated Learning Approach
-
Classroom
Instruction: Students receive,full-time
classroom instruction, which helps them to learn and consolidate their
understanding of the subjects.
-
Courseware:
ILS provides courseware and course handouts designed for independent study.
-
Independent
Study: This helps students to
achieve a prescribed level of knowledge through self study.
-
Assignments:
Assignments are administered as a part of the practice and evaluation scheme.
They are an important component in internal evaluation.
-
Moot
Courts: Moot courts help to gain
first hand information, advocacy skills and expertise in handling the court
room. Moot courts are significant tools which educate and enrich the students
both in the practical and theoretical aspects of legal learning. The moot courts
help in understanding bar and bench relationship.
-
Soft
Skills Workshop: In order to
develop the all round personality of the students for better career prospects,
the ILS conducts soft skills training, during the course of their study.
-
IT
Training: Most of the law courses
require intensive computer laboratory work. ILS ensures that all students have
access to well-equipped computer lab, for doing their coursework.
-
Seminars/Workshops:
They serve to increase the application orientation of the students and expose
them towards independent learning and working.
-
Summer
Internships: The Summer Internships
enables the students to experience the rigor of legal environment and combine
the concepts learned in classroom with real life situations in organizations.
-
Projects:
Projects attempt to bridge the gap between the professional world and academic
institutions. These projects help students develop analytical and research
skills.
-
Web Support: All students are
provided online web support on 24 x 7 basis. The use of web technology will
enable the students to have a greater and easier access to the faculty and the
administrative staff.
-
Evaluation:
Student performance in each course will be assessed by means of continuous and
internal evaluation throughout the semester. Students will be evaluated on the
basis of assignments, seminars, projects, various tests, quizzes and a final
examination conducted every semester for evaluation and grading.
