Globalization and liberalization of the economy and the new
challenges with changed concepts and perceptions of business diversified legal
issues emanating from dynamics of Socio-Political and business economics have
redefined the boundaries of legal education by integrating the local and
international law with interdisciplinary approach. The priorities are being
changed to steer the direction according to the needs and it is highly
significant for law schools to cater to these needs and to keep pace with the
dynamic trends of law.

The expanded horizons of business and technologies have
brought radical changes in providing the legal services to corporate, worldwide.
More integrated interactions enlarge areas of law, new mindsets, new
technologies and emerging laws such as intellectual property, commercial
arbitrations, human rights, immigration and cyber crime and competitive and
comparative legal systems are created. Distinctive rigorous and qualitative law
programs of academic excellence are highly essential to face business and legal
environment in the new perspective.
The developments in the business and legal fields call for
competent professionals practice. In this context, the Icfai Law School,
Dehradun a constituent of the ICFAI University offers five year full-time
integrated BBA, LLB (Hons.) Program. The program is based on the
state-of-the-art theory and contemporary practice so as to enable the students
to face the challenges of the future. The program lays an equal emphasis on
knowledge and skills. The program is, thus designed to impart legal knowledge
and skills, both functional and integrative, to the students to make them
leaders in the coming years.
The pursuit of the integrated BBA, LLB (Hons.) Program
demands commitment, sincerity, intellectual maturity and willingness to work
hard. We welcome young men and women who share our vision, goals and purpose to
join hands with us in our effort to develop a new breed of dynamic, competent
and committed legal professionals to serve our country.
We assure that the students of our law school would take
pride in the fact of being at par with the products of leading law schools of
the world in terms of methodology of teaching and research work to cope with the
challenges of society in changing legal scenario.
Summer Internship will be organized at selected places in
India as per the convenience of the authority i.e. Director of ILS to train the
students in different legal firms and corporate or under the supervision of
advocates/judges of trial courts and high courts.
So far IP is concerned the students are supposed to do the
training for a maximum period of twenty two weeks under the guidance and
supervision of advocates at different places in India where the high courts are
situated or under the guidance of judges of the trial courts & high courts
as per their convenience.
