The MCA Program trains students in state-of-the-art technology. The emphasis is on helping students learn the theory and apply it successfully in developing information systems. Students are trained to design and implement information systems that enhance organizational and financial functions, add value to existing products or customers, provide new products, enhance or add to distribution channels or enhance decision making. The brief details of the MCA Program are given below for information purpose only. Interested students are advised to refer to the separate MCA Prospectus. Rules and regulations pertaining to UG Degree and PG Degree Programs as given in this document do not apply to the MCA Program. Duration 3 years. Eligibility
*Note 1 : Graduates with non-computer background (at degree level) are required to pursue and complete the Foundation Course in Computers (FCC ) along with Groups A, B and C of the MCA Program. Note 2 : Graduates with non-mathematics background (at 10+2 level) are also required to concurrently pursue and complete the Foundation Course in Mathematics (FCM) along with the Groups A, B and C of the MCA Program. Note 3 : Graduates with non-computer (at degree level) and non-mathematics (at 10+2 level) background are required to concurrently pursue and complete both the Foundation Course in Computers (FCC) and Foundation Course in Mathematics (FCM), along with Groups A, B and C of the MCA Program. Program Structure
Computer Lab Practicals (Compulsory) Students enrolled into the MCA Program are required to attend the Computer Lab as a part of practical training. These practicals are compulsory for the nine subjects specified in the MCA Program Structure (given in the table, marked *). |
